  • Life Recovery Center is a great facility. If you are seeking help for drug abuse or addiction this is the place to be! The staff is highly certified professional addiction counselors who really care about those who want to be helped. Life Recovery can complete mental health evaluations too. There are many locations find one near you, and enjoy the sober life!

  • Incredible people and environment! So much respect for this place. The lot thank you for helping me.

  • "I can't thank you enough for what you've done for me. Because of the help I received here [at Life Recovery Center], my life is back on track. My family is happy and I'm doing better at work too. I'd been through treatment several times with minimal results. Things just never "took" for me, and I know part of that was because I wasn't ready then, but I feel that a big part of my success this time was because of the staff here. They always made things easy to understand and taught me how to actually apply recovery in my life. Thanks Life Recovery Center! I'm clean and sober and I don't think couldn't have done it without you!"

  • "I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed your program. It was different than what I'd been involved in in the past. You guys have a way of getting everyone involved, and I always felt like the messages were positive. Thank you!"

  • The BIP [Batterers Intervention] program has really changed my life. I realized through the class that I've been abusive my entire life. I never saw that before the class. Thanks for opening my eyes and showing me how to change."

  • "I'll be honest...I had no idea what to expect when I came here. I figured it would be boring. I was very happy to see that this wasn't the case at all."

  • "Thanks for everything! This changed my whole life!"

  • "This place saved my life."

  • "Five minutes into my assessment, there was no doubt in my mind that I'd come to the right place. I could tell from the start that the counselor really understood where I was coming from."

  • "I've never been in recovery before. I'm glad it was here that I've learned all the things I have. With your help and my desire, I will stay clean and sober one day at a time."

  • "Class is always productive and everyone actually leaves feeling like we got something out of class."

  • "Within minutes I knew that I had found my counselor, which is saying a lot as I've been to several mental health professionals before, and not felt better for it. Eric [Davis] is very laid back, friendly & good spirited. I didn't feel like he was trying to beat me into optimism with a forced bubbly facade, but he had a genuine smile & interest in helping me. I just had my second session and couldn't be happier. I feel great during & after every session. Eric is the first person whom I've not felt an apprehension prior to each meeting. I actually look forward to it and I leave with clear steps to take to help myself, and they're working quite well so far. I could be happier, and he's helping me get there." (Submitted on www.angieslist.com by a client who attended individual counseling sessions with Dr. Eric Davis - Given overall rating of "A.")

  • "Dr. Eric, I hope you and your family and extended LRC family had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. One of the many things I thanked God for this past weekend, and every day, is His introduction of you, the Life Recovery Center staff and everyone who participated in the sessions that I was lucky enough to be a part of.  But, specifically Eric, I want to thank you for your guidance, lessons and example.  You have helped me change my outlook on life to one that is positive, grateful and hopeful. When I first started coming to LRC I was truly suicidal. My outlook and actions were mired in negativity, self-pity, and destruction.  I loved others but hated myself.  I know that you are aware of the family and friend deaths and job situation that led partly to my actions over the last several years.  There are other things I pointed to to explain my depression and escape through substance abuse.  I could not find a way out of my own self-imposed exile. Look at those sentences... How many times do I say me or my or I? I have successfully quit drinking for periods of time in the past but continued to live a selfish life, a dying life.  My thoughts were of how deserving I was of the things in my life and how deserving I was of a better life and future.  One that included the privilege of ignoring my disease and the arrogance of thinking I was strong enough on my own to drink yet again.  A life that assumed I had the power. What you have helped give me is a new life.  One based on gratitude and service.  One that is filled with the constant presence of my God.  I have a long way to go, but recognizing my powerlessness was a great start... recognizing that God is great and it is his plan and not mine... seeing the miracles that occur in my life on a daily basis...  acknowledging how the many obstacles and opportunities that occur in my life may not be happenstance but God's plan...I could go on and will.  I have hope again!  I am so thankful for that, Eric." -via e-mail on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, 2010.

  • "The program I went through [at Life Recovery Center] truly changed my life, and for that, I will always be grateful. I know you do your best to change lives and help people see that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a freight train. It's great to have been able to take the things I have learned and apply them to my life."

  • "Hey Dr. Eric....I don’t know if I’ve ever told you how much I appreciate you taking time for me to try and help me. I just want you to know you've helped me so much...with many different things. I think about things you've said to me every day. It helps me make it through the rough days. So thank you Eric. I wish there was something I could do to repay you. To show you how much I appreciate your help and caring when no one else did, when I didn’t even care about myself. I just wanted you to know....you've meant a lot to me, and you've helped me work through a lot of things and see the truth about a lot. I still have a long way to go but I’d still be a hateful b**ch if it wasn’t for you. Now I’m not afraid to be nice to people. Well, I am still afraid....but I know I don’t have to let my fears control me anymore.  Truth is, you're the only man who's never let me down or hurt me. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. And in case you ever wanted to know if you made a difference in someone’s life...well u have. You saved mine.” -via E-mail to Dr. Eric Davis

  • Thanks to you for your support and encouragement over the last three months.  Yes, November 15 was 3 months.  This note is slightly tardy, but just know, you will be on my list of people to give thanks to this year.  Thank God there are people like you to do his work here on earth." -Holiday Card sent to the office.

  • The stuff I learned in group actually works! I find myself thinking about the content from group when I leave and go home. It has really changed the way I think.

  • I'm so excited! I will be graduating from my Life Recovery Program. Its been an amazing journey! This journey started Sept. 24th 2010 when I was strung out on drugs. I was a miserable wreck and didn't know who I was half the time. I remember crying out to God to just take the pain, take my life, to just please help me! Well he did through the belly of the whale, being the Marion County Jail. I went there for 7 months and was sentenced to DOC for 12 years. They suspended 4 years which gave me 8 do 4. The Judge told me, if I went in and completed a Therapeutic Community, she would consider modification. So God truly blessed this because, as soon as I went through intake, I went right in without having to be on a waiting list. This was such a blessing because the waiting list was normally months! So I'm thinking, I'm going to just get through this program, be done with it, and put all this behind me. Well it wasn't that easy. This program was hard! Oh my gosh! It was making me deal with things that had been keeping me down for years and I didn’t like it one bit! It broke me down, all the way down. So I'm dealing with all these emotions, feelings, and hurt, completely sober, thinking "what am I to do" and the good news was they had the answers. They showed me what to do, how to deal with all the emotions, of anger and hurt. I started getting better. My husband started seeing and hearing it in my voice and for the first time in my life, I was feeling a little bit of peace! After 9 intense months, I graduated and I was modified out thanks to the help of Dr. Eric Davis. He is an amazing teacher and owner of Life Recovery Center that went to bat for me with my judge. I thank him so much. He spoke with her, set me up on 8 months of classes at life recovery center and it’s been such a great experience for me. I thank God for allowing me to be a student of Eric's as he has taught me so much! I feel so blessed right now this is such an exciting time for me in my life. I've never completed anything and tomorrow getting my certificate of completion is a HUGE accomplishment!

  • Thank you so much, Eric!! I really enjoy coming to groups and you have been very helpful in my recovery. I know I still have a long road ahead of me, but your knowledge and wisdom have really helped me. I can't thank you enough. I am going to continue coming to groups after I complete because I get so much from your groups. Thank you again! (Once they've completed their initial treatment regimen, clients are welcome to attend groups free of charge as members of Life Recovery Center's Alumni Program.)

  • I like how we keep class entertaining instead of always being so serious.

  • I like the people and the counselors here.

  • My counselor is the best. She really knows how to find the true root of your problems then knows exactly what to say to send you in the right direction. She has helped me a lot.

  • I love how the whole group cares for each other. It is a very special group.

  • I've only been here for two weeks but I really enjoy group! I really feel its helping in ways that I didn't think it would. I really soak in what's being said and talked about. Thank you!

  • I feel like I can really relate to my counselor.

  • I actually enjoy coming to group.

  • One of the things I appreciated most about my groups was that from the start, my counselor was teaching me how to stay clean and sober. I learned things I could apply to my life from day one. Thanks LRC!

  • I want to thank you for the class that I completed this weekend at the south location. I'm really glad that I was told to take that class it was extremely informative. (Speaking about our weekend Prime For Life education classes)

  • I think what sets Life Recovery Center apart is that Dr. Davis and his staff truly care about the patients and their recovery. I know this because someone very close to me was a patient of his.

  • Life Recovery Center really helped me a lot. You guys are the best!
