Tom Prendergast, LCAC, ICOGS
Mr. Tom Prendergast co-founded Life Recovery Center in 2004, where he serves as Operations Director. He has worked in the field of addiction counseling for over thirty years and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Tom has extensive experience working with a variety of populations, including adolescents, adults, families, individuals, and teams. Throughout his career, He has worked as an addiction counselor, program manager, and administrator.
Tom is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC) who holds a Bachelors degree in Addiction Studieses (BS). He is also an ICADV State-Certified Domestic Violence Batterers Intervention Program Senior Facilitator (BIP-SF) and has been featured as an expert discussing domestic violence issues in the Indianapolis Star and on Fox 59.
Tom is a member of ICAADA: The Association for Behavioral Health Professionals, the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Indiana Credentialing Association on Addiction and Drug Abuse, and the National Council on Problem Gambling. His primary areas of professional interest include substance abuse, batterers intervention, and working with military veterans.
Tom is an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Air Force who enjoys being outdoors and riding motorcycles in his spare time.
