Coach motivate to personal development, success and career growth from the beginning..jpg

A Peer Recovery Support Specialist is a person who helps remove personal and environmental obstacles to recovery, links the newly recovering person to the recovery community, and serves as a personal guide and mentor in the application and management of ongoing personal and family recovery. Such support is generated by mobilizing volunteer resources within the recovery community or provided by the Peer Support Specialist where such natural support networks are lacking.

What is a Peer Recovery Support Specialist?

A Peer Recovery Support Specialist is a recovering individual who has completed advanced training and certification in peer support through ICAADA, IC&RC, and/or NAADAC. Peer Recovery Support Specialists act as a recovery and empowerment catalyst, linking newly recovering persons to the recovering community, guiding the recovery process, and supporting the individual’s recovery-oriented choices, goals, and decisions.
